Graduation 2024

Aug 5, 2024 | India

It’s Graduation time at Prakash and Rachel has again written an excellent report on the memorable event. Each student looks forward to this exciting day. About 90% of our PBI students have a job if they choose to accept it. A terrific record for Prakash.

The graduation ceremony celebration was yet another memorable event for both the staff as well as students. Soniya (RGI Computer Instructor) was leading the ceremony. It started with a wonderful worship led by Abhishek (RAC Instructor) along with PBI boys and a welcome by Nagesh.

Our board members, former staff and other distinguished guests who send students to Prakash were present. The directors of BGCH and CFI both made an effort to attend the program which was really encouraging for their students and us too.

Mr. Masih, a social worker, was the guest speaker for the students. He spoke from 2 Timothy 2:1-10 and Psalm 78:70-72, he encouraged the students to use their skills wisely and for the benefit of others.

As always the students put up a great show with dance and songs. The highlight was a comedy yet meaningful skit from the PBI boys.

A testimonial video of the graduating class was played. We also felicitated Suwarta (PBI Cook Lady) . We gave her a token of appreciation and presented her with a shawl. Nupi read the message sent by the Executive Director for her.

Later, the message from PAUSA and the donors for the graduating class was read and they received their oath certificates. Mr. Medhavi, Secretary of the PII board in India and also a former Prakash student, prayed for the graduating class.

We ended the program by a vote of thanks by Moses. Everyone enjoyed a savory dinner together. Joash was kind enough to get his professional camera and click beautiful pictures of the evening.

A big thank you to PAUSA and all the donors for their contribution in the success of another graduating class!”
