Jaysoni Story

Oct 26, 2024 | Vet-Med Outreach

“Jaysoni was the most beautiful daughter of the Chief of Vasantha’s village. (This is the boy I wrote the book about) She was very close to her father. Jaysoni used to attend the fellowship while Vasantha was leading it and there was a boy named Sanjay, who was Vasantha’s close friend. He was always helping Vasantha in taking the class. He is from Hindu background.

He started liking Jaysoni and he shared it with Vasantha at that time. So Vasantha shared it with me. But looking into the caste background I did not pay attention to it and told Vasantha to just pray about it.

Somehow Jaysoni lost her vision and after all our efforts her vision did not get restored. After losing totally her eyesight, this boy Sanjay felt very sorry for her and Vasantha and Sanday started praying in their fellowship for her.

Because of her blindness, the Chief was unable to get a Paradhi boy for Jaysoni and other sisters were getting married. So Sanjay told Jaysoni that he want to get married to her even though he was not from her caste but that time the Chief was very strict and he opposed this thing.

Finally, Jaysoni and Sanjay decided that if we love each other we will get married no matter what we need to suffer. So Jaysoni left her house and married Sanjay. They started their family in another village because his parents were also not happy for Jaysoni.

By the grace of God, they both are blessed with two male children today. Nowadays, the Chief is in the transformation phase, which means he has become softer than before. Now he does not force caste traditions like before. So he called them in the village and they are living with the Chief.

The Chief is very cautious about all Paradhi children’s spiritual and physical development. Even on every Saturday he is gathering all the children as they have a holiday and teaching them some good manners.    When I was praying the Chief’s family also joined us in prayer and he also shared that he is happy for his family. He also gives credit to God. He told me that he is learning how to play the Cassio (keyboard) and that was a big surprise for me. He shared that now there are people who are working for his business so he has a lot of free time. So he wants to use that time for the development of the children of the village. He thought music would be a good idea and therefore he is taking these classes. So he requested that when he complete learning, then you please arrange a Cassio for me and the children in the village. lol

When I was there he scolded one of his grandson to take a bath and that small boy went by himself and started taking a bath. I was very happy to see him change so much. I thank God for this transformation.

Continue to pray for him, his family and changing heart.

The Chief is also happy because as we tried for the water supply and now the Government authority respected our request and the water tank is going to start. He is very proud that his village is going to get water supply with pump.

30 % of the village population started thinking that Goat farming is the best business for them rather than their traditional wine making. This village has more goats now and Vijaydas (Vasantha’s brother) helping them in marketing. I am thankful for the Self-Reliant Training opportunity which built a bridge for goat farming awareness among these villagers and away from wine making.

The Chief feels proud about the village. He is really concerned about new children in the village.  Vet Med continues children’s fellowship here and the Chief want to contribute to it.
