Founded in 2006, Ruth Girls Institute gives young high school age women the chance to learn a trade, and be equipped with invaluable life skills.
Vet-Med Outreach
Since 1997, Prakash Institutes and its partners have sponsored an off-site Veterinary Medicine and the Self-Reliance Training course in the local villages surrounding Nagpur.

I am also happy to share with you about Sheshi and her daughter Jenny became a reason for appreciation in the WHOLE Paradhi village as she was a part of the team which played Kho-Kho (A kind of tag game VERY popular in India) on an inter-school level and won.
Her photo was published in a local newspaper as well. Everyone is proud of her and I thank God for this girl. (This is Vasentha’s wife and daughter. He is the young man I wrote the book, ‘They Call Me Sir’ about.
Then mostly I was busy conducting the Self Reliant Training. As expected, more women attended this training. We had 24 days of training.
I am thankful to Dr. Kawalr for helping me teach goat management, vaccination and marketing.
Also I am thankful to the workers working in Orange grove farm for making ground arrangements and food arrangements and preparing food for our attendees.
(This wealthy Hindu farmer has given Dr. Suresh use of his farm buildings for years for free.)

The women and their children were given lunch each day.
As usual, Starting Point was a special class as many women asked many questions. Mostly the women from Paradhi village will start their new business as a source of income instead of their traditional work of wine making. (Remember, these are women from a tribe that is scorned in India.)
These ladies, with their children HAPPILY walked five kilometers (3 miles) each way every day to attend the Self Reliant Training.
