Christmas 2025
Thank you!
As we close on another year at Prakash, we are filled with gratitude for all that God has done through your faithful support. From new workshops to facility upgrades, each project this year has strengthened our mission to equip young men and women with practical skills and enduring hope.
At the Ruth Girls’ Institute, students participated in inspiring workshops on health, hygiene, and personal care—learning not only life skills but also how to steward God’s creation. Former students returned to campus to lead worship and share how their training continues to impact their families and communities. Meanwhile, the Prakash Boys’ Institute saw major improvements, including a completely renewed kitchen that brought immense joy to our cook staff.
From last year’s gifts, we were able to bless students with sweaters, families with chickens and goats, and a village with a keyboard showing the generosity of God’s people.
Each of these moments were made possible by your prayers and generosity. May your Christmas season be filled with peace, joy, and the deep satisfaction of knowing your giving makes a lasting difference.
Pair of Goats --- $400
During a recent visit to a village church, Dr. Suresh met a woman who had received goats through Self- Reliant Training-seventeen years ago! Today, she still runs her goat business, supports her family, and serves in her church. She now encourages others to attend training and begin their own ventures- showing how one practical gift can continue multiplying opportunity and hope for years to come.
Sweaters - $25
Each winter, all students eagerly await their new sweaters-a simple but meaningful gift as they arrive on campus with very little. The staff lovingly wrap each one to make students feel seen and celebrated.
Computer Lab - $750 for one computer
Since its launch in 2014, the Ruth Girls’ Institute computer lab has provided students with essential training. Today, its assembled PCs and software are outdated, no longer meeting government
testing requirements. A full upgrade will
cost $10,000. Your contribution— whether for one computer or contributing to the total cost will give young women the tools they need to develop critical skills and prepare for meaningful employment.
Chickens - $215
When Dr. Suresh learned a farm laborer’s child needed better nutrition, he knew they were the perfect recipients for last year’s Christmas chickens—ten hens and two roosters. The family now has fresh food, greater stability, and renewed hope for the future. Help us bless more families in the next year!
Vehicles --- $40,000 for two vehicles
Safe and reliable transportation has always been essential to our work at Prakash—helping students reach exams and other appointments. Our well used bus was just retired as the government has started a policy that commercial vehicles that are fifteen years old are not allowed on the road (twenty years for personal vehicles). We are now in need of two dependable replacements which will allow staff and students to travel safely for daily needs.
